Taking part in the Virgin Money London Marathon

Your Event Guide is where you’ll find everything you need to know about taking part in the Virgin Money London Marathon – it’s especially important that you read it carefully this year as we’ve made a number of carefully planned changes to help ensure that the event can take place safely for you and your fellow participants.

If you’re a spectator, you may also find it helpful – whether you’re planning to follow the action at home, as we’re recommending for 2021, or if a participant has invited you to be their spectator.

Join us at our events

If you have a place in the Virgin Money London Marathon (or hope to secure one via the ballot next year) you can take advantage of our events, such as the Meet the Experts training day, which took place online in 2021.

And don’t forget the Virgin Money London Marathon Running Show. This year participants must visit the event at ExCeL London to drop off their kitbag and pick up their bib number (see Event Guide and Six Steps to the Start Line for details), before checking out the latest running gadgets and gear, plus offers from our sponsors.

If you’re a business that’s interested in exhibiting at the Virgin Money London Marathon Running Show, you can find out how to do that too.
