The inspiring online talks from our panel of motivational expert speakers will give you all the tools you need to prepare for and enjoy your 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon journey – whether you’re taking part in the mass or virtual event.

About Meet the Experts

The build-up to Marathon Day may seem a little daunting, which is why we hold Meet the Experts, our annual Virgin Money London Marathon training day.

It's the place to get all the expert advice, insight and tips you need to help you succeed and make sure you’re ready to take on the world’s greatest marathon.

The programme for 2021

This year we held the event virtually for all participants in the mass or virtual Virgin Money London Marathon.

You can watch Meet the Experts 2021 on demand for free now. Everything you need to know is covered, including advice on nutrition, training, injury prevention and charity fundraising. 

Alongside our guest speakers, experts from the New Balance team also offer bespoke advice to help you find the best running shoes for you, while nutrition scientists from Lucozade Sport share tips for fuelling during the marathon.

Virgin Money London Marathon Training Plans

Got a place in the ballot (hooray!) but now don’t know where to start? Our 16-week Beginner’s Training Plan will guide you right through to the Start Line.

If you’ve run a marathon before and are hoping to better your performance this time, the Improver’s Training Plan is a good choice. 

Finally, our Advanced Training Plan is for really experienced runners who want to push themselves – remember even if you’ve have conquered 26.2 miles several times before, there’s always something new to learn!
