We always welcome people who would like to join our club!
We are based in Northampton, England and are a very friendly club with over 200 members catering for runners of all abilities. Training sessions are grouped to ensure runners of similar abilities can train together.
Coaching is provided for each group by experienced runners who provide support and encouragement. A Sunday morning run is also organised for all abilities to train together as a single unit, followed by a friendly social picnic (whatever the weather!).

Please turn up on the first Thursday of the month at Wootton Community Centre, Curtlee Hill, Wootton Fields on Thursdays @ 7.15pm, make yourself known to a member of the committee and we will ensure you are placed in the appropriate group for you. We also require you to complete the New Runners Induction Form (found on the WRR website) and bring this with you on your first session. You can have up to 3 taster sessions at a cost of £1.00 per session, to evaluate whether the club is right for you, then make a decision to join or not.
I am only looking to train for the Virgin London Marathon, how will I find others to train with?
There are numerous runners in the running club that train for the London Marathon each year. Simply ask around on club night, someone always knows someone running London. There will be someone in your ability group, so perfect opportunity whilst training on Thursday nights to organise the other week’s runs with someone. You never need to train alone with Wootton Road Runners, someone is always going out for a run!
